S.A.F.E Gate Center

We are a passionate Sk8 Community committed to the vision of creating a dynamic multipurpose facility in the vibrant South Florida area. Our diverse community includes not only skaters but also artists who are eager to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations by establishing their own businesses. United by our shared love for skating, we frequently come together to connect and collaborate. Our goal is to develop a space that seamlessly combines various elements, including an art exhibit, a marketplace, a health fair, and a range of fitness classes and instructional programs, all complemented by a fully equipped commercial kitchen. This facility will serve as a hub for creativity, wellness, and community engagement.

In 2024, I lost my job due to funding cuts. Instead of returning to the workforce, I chose to bet on our dream: building Just‑Sk8 into a full-time, community-centered organization offering free Community Skate Events every month. As the community continues to increase along with demands continually growing, I decided to take the advice of fellow Skaters seeking Donations and funding.

What started as a small, local meetup has grown into a fast-growing movement connecting skaters from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Naples, and Fort Myers—and it keeps expanding.
But there's another major challenge we’re facing: loss of access to safe, level skating spaces.

Cities across Florida have started converting many roller hockey courts into pickleball courts, displacing roller skaters, dance skaters, jam skaters, and derby teams who rely on those smooth surfaces to practice and build community. At the same time, new investments are going into skate parks with bowls and ramps—which are great for extreme sports, but don’t meet the needs of most of us who just want a level ground to roll on.

That’s why Just‑Sk8 isn’t just a program—it’s a necessity. We’re fighting for inclusive, accessible, safe, and welcoming spaces for skaters of all backgrounds and abilities to thrive.

We’re not asking for fancy skate plazas.
We’re not asking for ramps and rails.
We just want our own court to roll free.

We aim to sustain and expand our events, incorporate as a nonprofit, and one day build a $600,000 multipurpose facility for skating, local business pop-ups, and wellness programs.
