Nowhere is this spirit more vibrant than at Just Sk8’s Summer Rink Nights, held weekly at 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive in Fort Lauderdale. Designed as a free, family-friendly sanctuary for outdoor enthusiasts, Summer Rink Nights have quickly established themselves as the premiere Friday evening destination for local skaters, families, and visitors across Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties.
From 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM every Friday, the smooth asphalt transforms into an open-air roller rink filled with music, laughter, and effortless movement. What makes Summer Rink Nights truly special is the open-door policy: people of all ages and all wheel types—quads, inlines, longboards, and roll-out striders—are invited to participate without cover charges or strict age barriers.
For beginners, the relaxed atmosphere offers a low-pressure environment to build confidence, practice balance, and learn basic stopping techniques. Seasoned veterans and local dance skaters frequently take the floor to demonstrate fluid toe-stop pivots, backward crossovers, and Jam skating routines, freely offering pointers to eager newcomers. Beyond the physical activity, Summer Rink Nights serve as a vital social hub where lifelong friendships are formed and local culture is celebrated.

NEWS FLASH 2 // Countdown to the Annual All-Wheels Just-Sk8 Workshop in Miami
Skill development and community mentorship have been core pillars of Just Sk8 since its inception in 2000. On Saturday, October 10, 2026, Charles Hadley Park (1350 NW 50th St, Miami) will play host to our most expansive educational initiative of the year: the All-Wheels Just-Sk8 Workshop. Running from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, this day-long intensive brings together top-tier skating talent from across the region to teach, inspire, and elevate local skaters.
Unlike traditional single-discipline clinics, the All-Wheels Workshop embraces every style of skating under one roof. The day's curriculum is segmented into specialized track clinics led by certified instructors and veteran community leaders:

Quad Skate Track: Focusing on edge control, rhythm-skating rhythm shifts, backward transitions, and smooth crossover mechanics.

Inline & Speed Track: Emphasizing efficient stride technique, crossover speed maintenance, sudden braking techniques, and urban obstacle navigation.

Longboard & Cruising Track: Tapping into carving fundamentals, weight distribution, foot braking, and downhill speed management.
Beyond technical drills, the event incorporates interactive safety seminars, gear maintenance workshops, and skate-fitness recovery sessions. Beginners will gain foundational stability and braking mastery, while intermediate and advanced skaters can workshop complex transitions, spins, and park maneuvers.

Our annual Roll-Out Weekend (R.O.W.) brought together skaters from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Palm Beach for three unforgettable days of street cruising, beachside jams, and skill sharing. The weekend featured dynamic group rides, trick showcases, and an incredible night skate along South Beach illuminated by LED lights, drone displays, and beachside energy. We extend a huge thank you to every skater, volunteer, and organizer who helped ensure a safe, high-vibe experience across all three days. The dust has settled, the wheels have cooled, and the feedback is unanimous: the 2026 Roll-Out Weekend (R.O.W.)was our most ambitious, seamless, and high-energy celebration of skate culture to date! Spanning three action-packed days across Broward and Miami-Dade counties, R.O.W. brought together hundreds of skaters representing quad, inline, longboard, and roller derby communities for an unforgettable weekend of movement and fellowship.
The weekend opened on Friday evening with a relaxed sunset welcome skate along Fort Lauderdale’s coastal paths. Participants reconnected with old friends, met visitors who traveled from out of state, and tuned their gear while rolling along smooth pavement under warm evening skies. The session set a positive tone for the days ahead, emphasizing unity, safety, and shared passion.
Saturday represented the operational peak of the weekend, featuring a full slate of skill exchanges, equipment showcases, and high-visibility group cruises. Skaters navigated curated urban routes that highlighted South Florida’s architecture and scenic coastal beauty. The main highlight occurred on Saturday night during our flagship South Beach cruise along Ocean Drive. The procession became a moving light show, featuring synchronized LED wheels, mobile sound systems, and spectacular overhead drone camera displays capturing the action from above.
Sunday concluded with a relaxed recovery jam and beachside gathering. Skaters shared stories, exchanged technical tips, and relaxed to ambient music, celebrating the strength and growth of the regional movement.
Extending an event of this scale across multiple municipalities requires immense operational discipline. Just Sk8 extends its deepest gratitude to our dedicated volunteer route marshals, mobile safety teams, media crew, and municipal partners whose work kept every kilometer of the route secure and enjoyable. Most importantly, we thank every participant who laced up, brought positive energy, and represented the skate community with pride and respect.
